My first trip to Fiesta with a middle school band was in May, 1992.

I have always organized kids into groups of 8 with one chaperone, no excuses, no switching groups at the park. In 30 years of going to Fiesta, 1 minor problem.

BTW, I would ride the train for the majority of the time watching the kids in the park. If I spotted a kid(s) alone or in the wrong group, I contacted the chaperones and they would deliver the kid(s) to me. The wrong-doer would ride the train with me for the duration of the day! The first time this happened was year 3 and again in year 5. The kids would from year-to-year, pass down the, "don't let Mr. G. catch you!"
