Six Flags Fiesta Texas NEW rule for anyone staying after 4pm

Hey just jumped on here to share this article. Six Flags Fiesta Texas has a new rule that all under the age of 15 must be with an adult after 4pm. I know many Junior High groups go in April and May, this will impact you. The rule is the kids must be with an adult, it will not count that you as a director are in the park. If you have questions I highly recommend reaching out to the park. Get it from the source and plan your group rules accordingly.

My first trip to Fiesta with a middle school band was in May, 1992.

I have always organized kids into groups of 8 with one chaperone, no excuses, no switching groups at the park. In 30 years of going to Fiesta, 1 minor problem.

BTW, I would ride the train for the majority of the time watching the kids in the park. If I spotted a kid(s) alone or in the wrong group, I contacted the chaperones and they would deliver the kid(s) to me. The wrong-doer would ride the train with me for the duration of the day! The first time this happened was year 3 and again in year 5. The kids would from year-to-year, pass down the, "don't let Mr. G. catch you!"

It says in the article that kids just need a chaperone *in the park* with them.

The rule won't affect us.

When we would take our middle school kids, we would leave the park at 6:00 PM (muster at 5:30 PM at the "Texas State Square to take roll and start moving out). If we were still doing it with this new rule, we would just move the time up to 4:00 PM.
