A grown adult contacting a teenager for any reason is cause for alarm, unless said contacts are monitored by parents. There is no legitimate reason for your former assistant to be contacting any of their former students.

Report to your campus principal, who can call the admin of your former assistant's new district. This is above your pay grade. If you don't report said inappropriate conduct and something untoward happens, you could be found negligent.
