Starting at Week-7, the Rankings switch to NQS, so that a team's overall high and low score will be dropped prior to averaging all remaining meet scores (no requirement for the minimum of 5 away meets until seeding for Regionals). Dropping these two scores could help or hurt a team’s average … for OSU (it probably helps, this week) a score on Saturday of ~195.450+ will increase their average, a season high (196.6+) increases the average to 195.960 from current 195.721! SUU who had a Monday meet score, matching their season low of 195.525, and with a season high of 196.000, at best, with a season high on Saturday, can maintain their current average of 195.685!

Also on Monday, individuals will be ranked using the “legacy” NQS of min 6 scores, 3 must be away scores, drop the high, average the remaining 5. Many gymnasts will drop out of the rankings this week … OSU currently has had 15 gymnasts ranked (competed at least once) in 32 different categories (vlt/brs/bm/flr/aa) … on Monday no more than (& likely) 12 gymnasts will be ranked in 19 different categories. Of OSU’s highest ranked (Top-20%) gymnasts Sophia drops out of the AA rankings & Cam on Bars and Van on Floor will drop out of those rankings if they are not in those lineups this weekend.

NOTE: On RTN if you look at “Daily Results” you will see a “preview” of Monday’s “NQS” rankings! Of course these will change greatly with most teams, and many individuals, adding scores this weekend … with many individuals achieving an NQS only after this weekend’s scores!
