Welcome to the
Unofficial Message Board for Oregon State Gymnastics!
National Championships qualifying teams (Bracket - Teams),
... by Regional Seed (with Finals Score):
Left-side of Bracket (Evening Semi-Finals):
#1 Oklahoma (198.050), #4 Utah (198.050), #5 UCLA (197.925), & #9 Kentucky (197.850).
Right-side of Bracket (Afternoon Semi-Finals):
#2 Florida (197.800), #6 LSU (197.750), #7 California (198.075), & #14 Denver (197.875).
(These are 8 of the highest scoring teams in Regional Finals ... with only Michigan and Ohio State matching the “low” score of these 8 (197.750). #3 Michigan and #8 Alabama were the two top-8 seeds that missed the NCs.)
The Official NCAA announcement of the individuals qualified to the National Championships has been announced HERE ... later today they should update that page to add PDFs with the rotation orders for the qualifying individuals (and Teams, but we already know the rotations).
Jade Carey, as the highest NQS ranked individual qualifier on beam, (it appears to me that she) should compete in the evening session of Semi-Finals.
Each semi-final will have 2 individual all-arounders and “up to” 8 individual event specialists ... (the “rules” say the AAders & Event Specialists with highest NQS will be assigned to the evening session, but goes on to say that ALL event specialists will be placed by committee discretion) ... I’d guess they would assign the top-2 NQS AAders to the top-2 seeded teams, ... then the individuals to the remaining two teams by NQS … so, my guess** is going to be that Jade will rotate with (3rd seeded) #5 UTAH, and compete on Beam as the last competitor on UTAH’s last event!
(**Not just wishful thinking, it’s an “educated” qguess, but I would not be surprised if I’m wrong!)
Go Beavs!!,
Richard
