The bottom was a little dark with about 10 foot of visibility. Thermocline at 40 feet, with 52 degrees below. Considerably warmer on the surface.
Lots of fluke seen today, with several of us taking the limit. Two doormat sized speared, and a few in the 25 inch range. Some bugs were caught, a few sea bass and one big ugly monkfish.
The winds never picked up as predicted, and we had calm seas and a light breeze to help cool us off in between dives. Back at the marina by 2:30 to beat the traffic home.
