Look! A piece of stem fell off one of my Alocasia macrohrriza, plants. If I simply stick this piece of stem, in a pot of soil, now that the "broke end" dried, will a new plant form, or will the stem piece simply rot? What's your guess?
The BLADDER SENNA, Colutea arborescense, is blooming! This plant is another bean and pea relative. For those familiar with what bean and pea flowers look, can see the resemblance....
The MEXICAN ORANGE BLOSSOM, Choisya dewitteae 'Aztec Pearl', is beginning to bloom. Oddly, to me, the flower scent is more that of anise, than orange flowers...
Below are two TRICHOCEREUS cuttings, I got. One is 'Desert Gold', and the other is, 'Redlands Orange'. The Etsy vendor labeled their paper wrappings. They have already been potted up...
Below is a pic of a new CAROLINA LUPINE, Thermopsis villosa, plant I got from Green Promise Farms Nursery. These plants take heat better, than regular Lupines/Lupinus...

Alvin. I think Slicasvia stem may root🤞. I. like the Allium and Amaryllis. Trichocereus cuttings will be great when they bloom. I love Trichocereus. Many are hardy for me here in zone 8 a. Mexican orange blossom is beautiful , wish zI could smell that. The nine bark is beautiful in bloom. Thst is an intense yellow color on the Bladder Senna! Thanks , Alvin,
The Amaryllis isn't cold hardy here, but the bulbs will rebloom, if dry rested 4-5 months, during the fall and winter. Hopefully, the Trichocereus cuttings will root, and eventually bloom. The Bladder Senna, like other bean and pea relatives, will reseed a little, but less than Rose of Sharon. It has roughly the same hardiness, as Mimosa.

Looking good! Do you have many holly trees up that way? We have some very large ones. I got a nice sized one two years ago. It is about 7 feet tall.
