I'm currently cleaning and organizing the greenhouse. I take the end of the year off so I'm enjoying my 16 days off. hehe

This morning we had a severe thunderstorm with high wind gust shaking the house with driving rain. Tornado warnings across the northern part of the county. It seems to have passed now. We are under tornado watch until 8:30 which is in a few minutes. I am ready for some 70’s again , not anytime soon , lol. My greenhouse is full to brim. Yesterday I had to spray some agave with alcohol because I noticed cottony scale. I have several impatiens seedlings I pulled up in early November and potted up. I have a lot of impatiens in red pink and white blooming. Going in and seeing all the color is refreshing!

My z7a stands at plus 1* anyways. So far I've fallen to 17*. So I'm thinking z6b cold (at best) for a few days . I'm thinking of modifying more wrappings because it might get worse. Cold is the word here Always treat every winter with caution. Im a firm believer trachycarpus does not get hardier year after year. I've seen and heard of big ones failing through the decades. If we can believe anything from the NWS, let hope for their call of an early spring.
