Time will tell and I hope I'm wrong. In the meantime I have several other sasanqua varieties to enjoy. Kevin seTN

A good thing thing about them is they can flourish in many types of soil and they can be trimmed up anyway you like and pruning can rejuvenate and older plant back to looking better. My Camellia Japonica April tryst will likely bloom next year. It was frozen back to the ground about 3 years ago and its waist high now. Thanks for showing that one. I went to the dump. My neighbor came and helped me today and we got a lot of limbs down out of my back yard and now I gotta rake all the small limbs and all that but I’ve got to spring to do it. It’s just a mess back there.. it will be pretty again.

That's a beautiful single, or daisy flower type, with a bit of ruffling, on petal edges. My blooming sasanqua is from the October Magic series. They are among the earliest to bloom sasanquas, meaning they bloom early enough, in Cam season, to flower early enough, to do so, before winter protection needs to go on. I have about 10 seed grown Cams, but they are all japonica. They were started 14 yrs ago. They began blooming around 5yrs old.

I germinated a lot of seed from that botanical garden but when I move from Greer, I left most all in the ground. They were small. I do wonder sometimes how they look now what did they turn into, did the new owners appreciate them or take them out.

This has been blooming for a while, but I just hadn’t got around to send pictures. It gets full on even though it’s in my backyard I’m surprised it’s done as well as it does now that I removed some trees. It is actually a beautiful white Sasanqua . The ruffled edges makes it even more beautiful and sometimes there’s a little pink through the petals in places, which is unusual. Post some pictures of all your blooming when you get a chance. I, 41, Love seeing all your blooming plants.
