Yeah, your close to Lancaster, Texas. They have already said N Mississippi and Memphis getting some stores.
We have been in a terrible drought. The soils here are like a sponge and a week without rain can turn bad quickly if you cant water. I haven't seen any snakes except a roadkill and Moccasins aren't generally seen here but rattlers and copperheads are the ones to watch for. There have been a few reports of snake bites in the state. Alabama is the snakiest state in the USA I've heard
Do you have the Coral snake? I can never remember the color code from the non poisonous look-a-like.
