Rob, you should consider Ashei variety of Bigleaf magnolia. They have that same look with the huge leaves but the tree grows much shorter.
I see many southern magnolias here now but have never seen a Longleaf Pine. If only local garden centers knew how hardy they are.
That Baldhead island Sabal is seeding for the first time ever which is exciting. It should produce some hardy seedlings.
The mimosa is truly beautiful and thanks again for sending it up here. We are probably a couple weeks away from blooms up here. I can’t wait until that happens! Mimosas in bloom look even more tropical.
