Recently, Fred posted a pic of a CAROLINA JESSAMINE, that was blooming near him/ He said they grow wild, there. Last fall, I planted a CAROLINA JESSAMINE, Gelsemium sempervirens, in my z6 garden. Carolina Jessamine is rated z7b hardy, at best. However, This Carolina Jessamine is of the 'Margarita' cultivar, which has proven itself as z6b hardy. It got no protection, other than some leaves that naturally fell on it, similar to what happens to Crocosmia, each year. This is how it came through -3F....
