Yesterday, I planted some spring Pansies. For those who may not know, like cool season veggies, Pansies are cool season flowers. They prefer cooler temps to grow in. I also started the outdoor hardening-off process, for my collard starts, that will go into the ground, in mid-April....
I took a peek at my Hardy Camphor tree, Cinnamomum checkiangiense, to see how it came through the winter. Although this is perhaps the hardiest cinnamon, or camphor tree, it is still only z8 hardy...

The HARDY CYCLAMEN, Cyclamen hederifolium, is still green in the garden. These plants form new leaves, each fall, which last throughout winter, through early spring (even during bouts they are covered in snow, for weeks)...

This plant is another "Down Under" native. Known commonly as the DAISY BUSH, but botanically, as Olearia haastii, this species is one of the hardiest daisy bushes. Anybody else growing a hardy daisy bush?
