I'm waiting for the tree tomatoes to fully ripen, before picking. The skin on them is thicker than that on regular tomatoes. Last year was my first year harvesting, and tasting tree tomatoes. After cutting them in half, the flesh can be scooped out with a spoon, but otherwise eaten like a regular tomato. I'm guessing that a Mexican market would carry them. Tree tomatoes are also known as, tomarillos. A Mexican store might carry them under this Spanish name.
Yeah, I was really surprised that all 4 of my Cherimoya seeds germinated, after they all floated, for 24 hrs, in a cup of water, rather than sink. I hope the seedlings continue to grow.
Rambuttan fruit does look rather odd. It is another Asian plant, that has gained popularity, in the Western Tropics, in recent years.
Interesting how your daughter got the Natal Plum genus name, lol.
