They aren't heated, just mulch and a plastic dome and my Wolfhound is always getting into that area and knocking things around. Not worried about the Sabal palmetto (3g) it thinks its a sabal minor and the little hybrid palm (3g) has proven hardy here but it had 2" of snow and a low of 5* this morning.
That's about the only concerns I'm having so far with the arctic weather. I checked the big palms and they are warm. Hopefully after this week things will return to normal conditions.
I checked everyone's lows this morning out of curiosity (except Lloyd and Keith's areas) and I was the loser and everyone was warmer, a few just a degree or two but anyways, KUDOS to Kevin in SE TN staying in his z8 comfort zone and Fred his z9b-z10
that is awesome. Thanks for reading my rant.
21* currently with a low of 12* tonight. Wont see above freezing until Wednesday
