I remember that one, a multiple extreme cold event in the same winter. There were survivors here, quite a few in fact. But there were losses too.
Two years ago was a rough one for my area. Seems like we set a record for lowest minimum high temperature. I had a 14'F high that day. Palms can take lots of below freezing temps, even long consecutive stretches. What helps is sunny days, which I had the last two years of cold winter spells. Of course all this is only applicable to my area. There are different levels of cold, duration etc... for other areas.
