Any guess as to what this fruit is? This is perhaps the latest in the year, I have ever harvested these fruits, because, this is the first time I am expected to dip below freezing. Anybody ever try fried fruits of this type? Notice some Swiss chard, a cold hardy green, in the background. The flavor of this healthful green, related to beets, tastes much like spinach...

While on my way to work, at the traffic light, I spotted this tree in its full fall glory. Anybody ever hear of a NORWAY MAPLE, Acer platanoides?
