The Toyon, although relatively hardy, both it and the Strawberry Tree, are a bit of challenge here, in summer, due to humidity (foliar and root diseases are often issues). They prefer climates with drier air, and soil in the warmth of summer, like that on the West Coast. Still I try, lol. I plan to spray them both with fungicide, in rainier periods, and use a granular fungicide in their root areas. I hope it works.
