After a growing season, that has dropped an adequate amount of water, in my garden, September has been quite dry. The next week, according to the long-range forecast, will continue the dry, sunny, but warm trend.
The HARDY PERSIAN SHIELD, Strobilanthes attenuata, is blooming! There are tropical forms of this plant, but this one is hardy in z6. Anybody else growing Hardy Persian Shield? It's another great late summer-early fall bloomer...

Here is another type of tuberous BEGONIA, Begonia boliviensis 'Santa Rita', I am growing. So, this is another type that I dry down, over the winter, and store, with the corms still planted in their basket. However, in the meantime, it is still blooming!

Here's a new SNAKE PLANT cultivar I got. It is a type of SANSIEVERA. Sansieveras are also known commonly, as Mother in Law's Tongue. These plants can have various forms of variegation. However, this cultivar, named 'Moonshine', has a very light grayish-green color, that was named because its leaves appear whitish, like the Moon....
