Actually, I do have a a few Stapelia plants, one of which, that I have had for a decade or more. A piece fell off that larger plant, that was rooted. Neither plant has bloomed, though. Many plants have special needs that must be given attention to, in order for them to grow and flower well.
I ,too, have had a Pony Tail Palm for over 20 years. I posted a pic of it, last year. However, this summer, it succumbed to rot. Too much rain, I guess. It's kinda surprising, though, because although I knew the species is subject to rot, this is the first year that my plant seems to have been affected by moisture. So, I bought a new plant. It is not as small as some available plants are. The plant I lost was over 5 ft tall. This one is already about 3 ft tall.
Your macrophylla is beautiful. Has the same plant still blooming, or other one? I know you have more than one.
