I didn't leave the house for 3 days last year because it took that long for the 8 inches of snow we got to melt. I knew it would be ice underneath that snow! After the first day, I decided to stay in, because even my porch was iced over.

I know that hurt a lot when you fell. I've only fallen on the ice once, but I was 13 and it was embarrassing, not painful. Nowadays, it would be a medical emergency!
