Black Squirrels are rare, they are a color mutation of the gray squirrel.. White ones too. We have gray squirrels here. We did have flying squirrels, but I don't know if they are extinct here or just rare now. I've seen red squirrels here, too. But mostly we have Gray ones.

So sweet that Juanita handfed the baby squirrel! I remember a few years ago, a squirrel tossed two out of the nest, and I took them to the wildlife center. They were tiny.
