15 years from a one-gallon, 35 miles south of the Arkansas border, these palms have seen single digits multiple times. I have two others as nice as this one, and two others that are smaller, but this is the first one to bloom. Up until recently I would have said the Sabal mexicanas were a more beautiful and equally large palm, but now that the trunks are starting to shed clean I have changed that opinion!
