Hello John/Monroe. More on that palm.
This has stumped everyone. The story John,is that a long time palm grower who traveled and collected seed grew this plant and donated it and quite a few other palms at the park. I think he passed away. So,its a guess. Serenoa trunks look a bit thin to me in photos. I thought a Sabal..but it was pointed out,it has no crosshatch trunk.
A list of what's planted is on growingontheedge.net. Maybe if you look over the list "Civic Center Park" in particular,you would have a better idea.
