I guess we're talking about Alex Wolcott.
Tremendous presence on the board, more so in years gone by.
I think one of his biggest plant triumphs was doing well with Phoenix Canariensis in Atlanta. That's usually a Zone 9 tree. But he was able to get some good size on his in Atlanta despite the winters there.
I was under the impression that he was not a very old man.
Gosh, such a shame, this news. I'll never forget him.
