It's been a long time since I posted. My job has consumed me this year and kept my time posting things to a min. Hope everybody is having a great growing season! I have luckily found some time to keep up with the yard. We had a mild winter and are having a good growing season. Because of the mild winter (one night in the 30s), my coconut had time to recover from the prior year freeze.
After 4 years in the ground, it got its first inflorescence (4 actually). 3 of the 4 have opened. This means the coconut is a Malayan as they fruit with approx. 2-3 feet of trunk.
