Thanks for the post Lucas. I shouldn't be surprised to see mature trachycarpus in the river valley (since I know it's a nice little warm area), but it's still interesting to see them just an hour and a half drive from me.
Do you ever see any Sabal minor used in landscapes around the Ft. Smith area? I was in OKC about 10 days ago driving in an older neighborhood where I spotted some random large Sabal minor in a landscape. While they aren't really common in the OKC area, it's kinda surprising how often you can find them there.
Sorry for not asking sooner, but how did you and your family make out in all of the flooding last month? I hope your homes were spared. I spent a couple days helping with clean up in Ft. Gibson and is was an absolute mess. I hope we don't see any more of those type of floods again in our lifetime.
