I am hoping the needles start to look better eventually. They have looked yellowed in their pots for the better part of the last two years at least. Their pots had a good potting mix and I fertilized them pretty regularly.
My soil here is a heavy red clay, but it is also at least as much rock as clay though. We get plenty of rainfall around here that they probably don't need a bunch of extra irrigation, but I am happy to have some drip lines on them now so I can make sure they never get too dry.
