It's because I never used to report temperature forecasts. You might remember the maps I posted a few weeks ago. We get the warmth from the Gulf and being at a latitude further south, we warm up considerably faster. Arctic fronts don't last nearly as long and they don't define a winter. An average day here is going to be warmer than anywhere in DE. To be honest, I've never understood the Wilmington/Nashville comparison and I've only heard it from you but I love discussing weather. Our record high in February is in the mid 80s. In my opinion, that's due to Southern latitude- water or not. I'll try to post forecasts more often to help show. As far as being on the wrong side of the Appalachians, we're actually on the right side to not get stuck in wedges and to warm up quickly. It's not the Columbia, SC here but it's definitely not the Mid-Atlantic- not that I have anything against the Mid-Atlantic.
