Our record high in February is in the mid 80s. In my opinion, that's due to Southern latitude- water or not. I'll try to post forecasts more often to help show. As far as being on the wrong side of the Appalachians, we're actually on the right side to not get stuck in wedges and to warm up quickly. It's not the Columbia, SC here but it's definitely not the Mid-Atlantic- not that I have anything against the Mid-Atlantic.
