As of now my lowest low is forecast to be 20F ( edit ; now 21F ) during the cold snap . All the blooming trees , shrubs , and bulb flowers will all turn brown , but there should be plenty more buds from various sources that haven't gotten too far ahead of themselves that will be nice later .
My main worry is how progressed are my Citrumelo buds . If they are too far along they will get zapped .
Last year My Citrumelo had thousands of flowers on it but it had only about 30 fruit . I thought it was going to be loaded with hundreds of fruit but it wasn't . I'm thinking a late freeze damaged the blooms or maybe the bees didn't get to it enough .
I would love to see it loaded like I've seen in some pictures .
