Rosa may not be the final say-so on topics, but Robert certainly is, on this board.
Actually, this is a message board where conversations have been observed over many many years, whether you like it or not. This is how for instance I know about those posts regarding the early appearance of Letizia Ortiz, or the various controversies surrounding the present king's sisters, or the various controversies surrounding that infamous Cathedral confrontation between Queen L. and her mother-in-law. Or since Rosa dislikes Catalonia so much, those various controversies during the time in recent years when Catalonia was in a state of near secession. All public knowledge. All out there at the time. All a matter of just public opinion. And I have mine. Whether people like you or her like it or not. Just as much as I have mine, she only speaks for one set of opinions within Spain - so don't imagine she is the final say-so on everything. Not with me, and NOT on this topic.
This is a message board where we discuss Iberian royalty, not US politics. Stick to the subject. Rosa has been a member of this bird for many years, she lives in Spain, and had a better grasp of what the Spanish people consider relevant for their Royal family to do, or not do.
And there is always that one person who twists the message to go after the messenger. I already mentioned the Royal Household, so no need to be defensive over your grandstanding ex-media figure. Or as a certain other egotistical woman who repped your state of NY in the senate infamously remarked: "Does it really matter??"
There is always that one person who will focus on negativity and ugliness. The Royal Household decides what events they should attend, and they decided this event was important enough. No need to be a negative Nancy
If the Spanish royal house had time for some of its members to suddenly decide to jump on a jet and go halfway round the world for a one-day photo op with a state dependent women's league then good for them. Perhaps their schedule was flexible enough between long-planned events inside Spain to allow the queen all that flexibility to go to Australia for an event which is already yesterday's news with all that's going on MUCH more importantly within Euorpe and the wider world . Also, perhaps not such a good event to bring the spotlight on considering the aftermath with your women's federation chairman Luis Rubiales and his so-called "forced kiss" that now remains the only focal point in the media for this otherwise inconsequential event.
