And whilst I take the point about the Franco dukedom I should have thought that it was, precisely, the delicate nature of that period of transition that should inhibit the present Government's actions. It was indeed a delicate period, during which JC played an essential role in transitioning the Spanish State away from Francoism and creating (almost) a political consensus for democracy.
