Well, Anne also married a Head of a Royal Family (although disputed by another member of that Family) who enjoyed an official status within the Spanish reigning RF. One of her daughters married into the Austrian I&RF... In the end of the day, none of the sisters is Queen of Württemberg or of the Two Sicilies, so... there's pretty much nothing in competition, I'd say.
Is it known if Diane has had the same relation & attitude towards her other siblings?
Others may know more than I, but my impression is that they have clashing personalities, and that there were perceived snubs of Diane by Anne in childhood and later. Diane seems to gloat that she made the most magnificent marriage of all her siblings, both in material terms (castles, wealth), and also in terms of the status of her husband (although the Wurttembergs, like other German royalty, have no actual claim to their titles any longer, the family weddings and other occasions are celebrated in princely style, and four of the six children married "equally." As far as I am aware, it is Diane who has given interviews in which she says fairly nasty things about her sister. I have never read of Anne returning the favor, and I have to say that I find her behavior in this regard far more dignified.

I don't know whether there was ever any reason to believe that Carl and Anne were attached to one another. In a biography of Diane which she co-authored with Jacqueline Malherbe, she says that Carl (and, at times, his entire family) spent vacations with her family, both in Portugal and in France. She also says that, once she turned 15, Carl came to visit more often. Of course, Diane's eldest brother married Carl's sister in 1957, which brought the families even closer together. The idea that Carl would marry Anne may have been wishful thinking on his parents' part. It is hard to know, since all the accounts I have seen come directly from Diane, and she definitely has an axe to grind (or more to the point, an axe to use against her sister Anne).
Were there any evidences that Carl and Anne were close enought so they would get married? And is it known when Carl and Diane got to know each other? Was this relationship one of those who began in those days Queen Frederica of Greece used to organize big royal gatherings?
"she had Stephane Bern write about the fact that she left her husband, and had (according to the biography) multiple relationships, including at least one with (again, according to her own testimony) "a king."
... and people wonder why Q.Sofia can't stand Diane.
A cruel statement to Duke Karl, but also to Q.Sofia and Karl and Sofia's children.
I remember having read that when Duke Karl announced to his parents he was going to marry a daughter of the Counts of Paris, his Mother was over the moon as she assumed it would be quiet, lovely Anita.
It was a blow for her when she realized that it was wild Diane that her son wanted to marry.
