When George V and Queen Mary attended the Durbar in India, George wore what was called the Imperial Crown of India. It was made for this event and now sits in the Tower of London amongst the other royal crown regalia. Is it ever used now?
No, it was only used once, as noted on the Wikipedia article about the crown: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_Crown_of_India#Usage
But neither Charles nor I trust Wikipedia - since both of us have lots of experience working with that community.
Charles: email me when you have a chance. N
