Romania is a republic, so are Serbia and Montenegro. The fact that descendants of their former ruling dynasties hold a special position in the country is one thing but constitutionally those countries are republics and not monarchies.
In current times, there appear to be many fewer reigning titles than, say, a century ago. Now, we have kings and queens who reign, grand dukes, and princes. And there is a Guardian of the Crown in one country. Are there others? What is the proper way to address these people?
Are Serbia and Montenegro the only European states with a crown prince who will not succeed to the throne as a reigning monarch under current circumstances?
I have eye problems, thus I ask.
