Prince & Wales & Duchess of Cornwall were married in civil registry office. They had a religious blessing, but not a full religious wedding service.
I'm interested in knowing examples in relatively recent royal history of unions which were/are dynastic, despite not having been consecrated in religious wedding ceremonies. The following is a list (correct me if I'm mistaken) --
1978: Prince Michael of Kent married Baroness Marie-Christine von Reibnitz in a civil ceremony, in Vienna
1988: The Earl of Saint Andrews (his nephew) married Sylvana Tomaselli in a civil registry in England
1983: Princess Caroline of Monaco married Stefano Casiraghi (the second of her three civil husbands) in Monte Carlo
1999: Princess Caroline of Monaco married Prince Ernst August of Hanover (the third of her three civil husbands) in Monte Carlo (I'm not sure about the exact location)
1996: Princess Stephanie of Monaco (her sister) married Daniel Ducruet in Monte Carlo (I believe)
1978: Princess Béatrice of Bourbon-Two Sicilies married Charles, Prince Napoléon in Paris
Are all these examples correct? Can anybody name additional examples?
