No, not really. Unless Carlos and his siblings themselves have explained their reasoning, we can all have their guesses. There is no ducal house of Bourbon-Parme constitutionally speaking. Their titles are only accepted in a social and historical-genealogical setting. Being corporated into the Dutch nobility gives them legal status and a closer attachment to the Netherlands. It gives some sense.
