To all that couldn't be there. Another great time was had by all. From the USS Midway Museum to the Harbor Cruise to the Banquet and to just sitting around and shooting the breeze it was a great reunion. More shipmates, some new faces, a lot of familiar faces and great company. What does a family look like? It looks like a Jouett Reunion.
We had a WW II sailor from the DD 396. We had a guest (Marine) that had served on Guadalcanal and we had a guest (IC First Class Jason Fair) currently serving aboard the USS John Paul Jones. As I left the banquet to pack my bags for an early Sunday Departure, I did so with moist eyes. Some of the attendees will not make another reunion and some new faces will show up at the next one. As Tim Kane so eloquently (sp) put it "I call them all shipmate, I call them all friend".
