Posted by Greg Murphy The original statue can be found in the Conservation Centre in Liverpool City Centre, bext to Millenium House and opposite Queen's Square. It's being used as a demo on grime removal, showing the merits of conventional -v- laser restoration. The staff seemed unaware of who the statue represented, and it is in a rather sorry state. There are no plans as yet (they say) to relocate it, but if the Memorial in St James' Gardens is being restored, surely it must be returned there. Regards Greg Murphy
