P1: I'm not sure what you're going on about mentioning the Alexandra Hospital. All I know is that County used to have private health insurance until Dave's consortium took over. They decided it was too expensive and scrapped it. Stott took over and replaced it.
P2: Why didn't you oppose it at the time? You obviously feel quite strongly about it.
Not sure, but as I say I don't recall commenting either way. I could see your point here if I'd expressed a differing view previously, but a lack of comment doesn't indicate approval of anything. I've made my feelings clear on it now when you've asked me about it, so it's not really relevant.
P3: Obviously a professional footballer needs his knee fixed quicker than Mr. Sunday League.
Perhaps, but a Personal Trainer might need their knee fixing quicker than someone whose job doesn't require being as active who just happens to be able to afford private healthcare; the Personal Trainer isn't getting theirs done quicker.
P4: I don't think it's the same doctors for muscle injuries as life-saving surgeons but you obviously know more than me.
It was your strawman argument that brought muscle injuries into this discussion; the topic at hand was a better life expectancy to those with the means to access premium healthcare.
P5: That's your ideal world scenario again.
And what's wrong with that? Do you not want to live in an ideal world?
P6: As with everything in life, you get what you pay for.
You shouldn't have to pay for better healthcare, it should be available to all.
As an aside, is there any proof that the Queen received better healthcare than any other citizen to reach the grand old age of 96?
Or was it because of her privileged lifestyle where she avoided smoking 40 Benson's a day and didn't live on high fat take-aways?
