The Bury FC and Bury AFC split must be an absolute nightmare and worst case scenario for the supporters.
It's all well and good getting Gigg Lane back, but with a fragmented supporter base and 2 teams in the same town, they aren't going to make it economically viable. Something has to give?
Fortunately with County, if the worst were to happen, I honestly don't think we would be in the same mess as Bury. The Supporter's Co-operative is established, a legal structure is in place and there are already significant funds in the Guardian Account, which would provide a good foundation.
I hope we never find ourselves in the position where a phoenix is ever required at County, but if that did happen then surely the Co-op would be the most obvious and only route back?
The last scenario you want is several random / unknown groups of individuals setting up, with no recognised structure, each trying to raise money via crowd funding pages.
