Final exams are next week at Western Michigan University, so it's again time to watch out for springtime speed traps around campus.
The Stadium Drive at Robert M. Beam Power Plant speedtrap was in operation this afternoon at 1:48. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety's patrol car had an interesting design of all white with white lettering. KDPS also has Ford Crown Victorias that are all black with black lettering, while most of the new vehicles are all white with black lettering, just like in Battle Creek. Like normal, this traffic speed enforcement targeted inbound traffic headed downtown. Also as usual, I saw the single officer pull over a car in the very short time I watched the speed trap.
