Posted by Anne I thought Disch's review pretty silly myself. Perhaps, at the time of writing there was a surfeit of avante guarde writing and it pissed him off. On other news, I have been contacted by Helen Bar Lev, the woman with whom Whittemore lived whilst he was in Jerusalem. We've been having an interesting communication on the type of person he was. She has sent me some poems she wrote about him and will also contribute some sketches and paintings of the man as well. Look to see them soon. The poems provide some insight into Whittemore,the person.

Sorry about the spam - beyond my control. In fact when I apprehensively opened the link from my mail today I expected more of the same. I was even considering updating the security of this message board and requiring everyone to have a password and login. I applied a filter whereby the subject line cannot be changed, which - fingers crossed - may deter the dreaded spammers. 589
