Re: Social Worker... (update) elle
We went to the bank today (ST). RR did online banking and used no app like Quicken. The problem is we don't have any of the account numbers or passwords. We went to SunTrust where the checking account and CD are. We were told to leave my husband's name on the account/s and just pay them - until we can contact all those places and get the passwords/numbers or have the bills sent to the house. Jane wants them sent to the house. The woman at the bank agreed contacting all those places to try and get the passwords/account numbers would be time consuming. So we came home having accomplished very little. It looks like we have to go to Capitol One with his death certificate to move money from the Money Market account to the checking account at SunTrust (aka ST.) The more I talk to these bank people the more confused I get. I actually came home with a nasty tension headache and I seldom get headaches. So RR did the banking online (no apps) having our joint checking account at ST and the Money Market account with CO. He would transfer some money every month from the Money Market account to the Checking account. This is where we're running into a problem because we don't have the password or account number for the MM account. Then there's his IRA account up in Smyrna TN. We don't know what to do with that account. I haven't contacted them yet. With help I was able to walk 6 steps with the wheel-less walker today. It was a struggle but I'd climb Mt Everest nude if that helped me walk again. The therapist is very hopeful.
