How odd, but I have to think very hard to recall that first year. Every day must have been a trial and a small victory. Just know that whatever you do, however you do it, is enough. That hours and days may sometimes seem interminable, but they add up and are gone, things will ease and time will heal. Try to do what you like. I think I felt that, tho alone, Bob was still with me. It carried me on.
Re: your legs/feet, in my case, swelling has most to do with salt. And one foot/leg is more affected than the other, probably due to circulation. I've noticed that since lockdown, my feet are not swollen, and I believe it's directly related to eating at home rather than going out/taking out. For the last two months I haven't eaten a thing that doesn't come from my own kitchen, and my feet are thanking me. What I did before to help was elevate the legs, and the doctor suggested compression stockings, but I never did use them. Changing my diet did it.
As for prices, I think they've gone up, too, probably to make up for the drop in business. I got a good deal on Teva sandals from DSW, but most everything else I buy costs more than before, especially food.
