Made up rubbish ... but I get your point... where do they get their info ??? Maybe they just sit around a table ful of cocktails and just agree when someone comes up with some crazy reason ??? I mean why bother researching and getting the facts when you can just ask friehds for their opinion ? It's like the tabloids here : make it up as you go along !
The Collage of Arms website states that at the time of the death of Prince Philip his son the Prince of Wales inherited the Dukedom of Edinburgh.
Then when Charles came to the throne the titled reverted back to the Crown.
There are some who believe that the titled merged with the crown upon the death of Prince Philip.
An author who has written several books on royalty , including books on Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip posted this...
"The title reverted to the Crown on Philip’s death. Charles didn’t inherit it at that time. When Queen Elizabeth II died and Charles became King, it became his power to bestow the title or keep it in abeyance."
Where do they get this misinformation?
