What I look for in candidates with experience are: 1) What do you actually do? Are you a lead teacher? Are you an assistant who works on one campus, or multiple campuses? Have you added anything to the campus or program? i.e. Lead teacher of X marching band, woodwind specialist -- led all woodwind sectionals, increased woodwind enrollment by 26% from 8th grade to 9th grade... directed the Sub non varsity band at contest, etc.
2) I look for your outside of work professional development... i.e. Attended TMEA every February, attended (fill in the name) conducting workshop
3) Any particular honors or awards you've received in college or professionally. So if you were in Phi Mu Alpha or Kappa Kappa Psi... keep listing that. It shows you went "above and beyond" towards helping a school culture even back in the day. Have you ever been teacher of the month? Ever had your group recognized at board meetings or anything like that? Make sure you highlight your bragging rights.
