If the answer is "nothing" then why are you choosing the one specifically associated with traditional Christian worship?
There's plenty of valid reason to perform sacred music. Bach, Handel, Chesnokov, Lauridsen - those composers have legitimate artistic merit beyond the lyrics.
IMO, this is very thinly-veiled proselytizing. And if I were a Jewish, atheist, Hindu, or Muslim student, let alone a different Christian faith or perhaps a JW, I'd be more than a bit miffed that my director is forcing me to play their own preferred Christian hymn every day. And I'm sure the ACLU would agree.
