I did my Divemaster map there too, but I don't think that I can attach it here. The authorities require that you check in and check out at the entrance and that you have a dive buddy. They can direct you to the designated scuba area (altough you can dive from a boat, too). Park in the lot and carry your gear down the hill. There is a training platform in 20' of water near the entry area. It is frequented by small fish. You will need to tow a dive flag along with you. In the summer, you can swim off to the right into the shallow weedy area and see fish. The reservoir is 162' at the deepest. A scuba diver pulled an old boot out of the mud a few years back and discovered one of the longtime missing bodies of Round Valley. So overall, IMHO, it's quite boring, but hey, you may give some family closure. The vis, BTW, is quite good, as I remember, maybe 30'ish.
