Everything looks great as far as my palms go. I used NO TRASHCANS this year -- just mulch.
One plant -- there always seems to be a loser EVERY winter -- went a little nutty on me. And not one you'd expect. My Ponciris trifoliata lost a lot of small branches. These twigs and stems are normally green. These turned khaki tan. Perhaps a full fifth of the tree's mass!! Gone.
My theory is the loss was a delayed effect of a very pronounced late summer/autumn drought we had here, and not a result of winter weather.
